Meet Cody Noyes
Personal Trainer
I was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and have lived in Illinois for 20 years. I was certified in the National Academy of Sports Medicine for personal training in 2014. I am currently studying at Northern University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy and plan on going to Graduate School for a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
As a kid I played soccer, baseball, basketball and football. I’ve always had a passion for the outdoors, and love to hike, bike, and snowboard. When I was in High School I started weight training for football and immediately became hooked. It was then when I knew I wanted to go to college for Physical Therapy.
When I first started college, at College of DuPage, I started training for CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting and continued those training styles for 2 years.
Once I was accepted into the Pre-Physical Therapy program at Northern Illinois University, I started trying different training styles such as strength training, power lifting, and bodybuilding. I quickly learned that there is not one style of training that is best; they are all perfect in their own sense, but only provide specific results. As a result, with training, I try to incorporate a multitude of different training styles in order to create the best athlete possible. I think although pushing the weights is fun and can be rewarding, form always comes first.
